Out and About Hiking in Uplands
This was my first hike of the year. When I joined the group, I was only interested in cycling but so far, I have taken part in more hiking activities. There was a cycling outing two weeks earlier but I did not sign up for it. The weather forecast said it might rain heavily and from last year experiences, I did not want to get stuck on a hill while towing my bicycle with rain pouring.

It the raining season so the hike promised lush green landscape and cool weather and it didn’t disappoint. From the city centre, we departed to our destination at 8.30 am. We were told to carry raincoats, which I did but luckily never used. The hike took us thorough a forest and scenic tea plantations. I met the usual people and noted some new faces.
We took breaks in between to soak in the nature and admire the beauty around us. It was an amazing experience. One of my dreams is to have a home surrounded by trees. I love the city but it can get daunting at times. the fast-paced life, noise and pollution. To more hikes.
